Together We Are Keeping Kids Safe

When it comes to our kids, safety should be the standard—not the exception. But, currently, there are no consistent safety standards, trainings, or resources for the spaces where kids learn and play, including schools, playgrounds, community centers, and at after-school programs.

But, real change is possible—and already underway. We’re partnering with parents, schools, industry professionals, and legislators to know the questions to ask, assess the risks, and institute changes that make the places where are kids are safer.

With the help of Coney, we provide resources for parents, educators, community leaders, and industry professionals to ensure that children never have to compromise safety to access education or play.

Awareness is the first step towards prevention. We begin with asking questions. When was the last safety inspection complete? Who is responsible for safety on campus? How much annual training do the teachers and staff receive on safety and related topics? These simple questions can start a much-needed conversation that many people aren’t having—but should.
